Screen Capture
The Screen Capture program captures your live high
resolution desktop to VBrick WM Video.

Setup
- Select Setup
- Select the folder for recording
- Enter (optional) FTP upload host/IP, username,
password, remote directory
- If the FTP upload is a VBrick MCS, enter MCS details
(otherwise, leave blank)
Operation
- Select your PC audio device
- Select your PC audio input
- Select the Profile -- higher bit rates produce higher
quality, but larger files
- Select Frame Rate -- generally 5 fps is sufficient
- Set the capture area -- select Full Screen to
capture your entire screen, OR move your mouse to the upper left and
press the left arrow key then move your mouse to the lower right and press
the right arrow key. This sets the area of the screen to capture (an
imaginary square anywhere on your screen)
- Set the file name (the file will be captured to the
directory you selected in setup)
- To always create a new file, select Autoname -- this
will append a date/time to your filename, thus making it unique for every
capture. If you do not select this or change your filename, you will
always overwrite any previously recorded video file.
Use
- You can control the capture by pressing
"Start", "Stop", "Pause" and
"Resume". To prevent the application
itself from appearing in your video use the following keyboard keys:
- "Pnt Screen" -- Press to start capture, press
it again to stop -- the application will hide during capture
- "Pause" -- Press "pause" during
record to pause your capture, press again to resume
Viewing / Uploading
- After capture, you may view any video by selecting
"Setup" and double-clicking on a video file
- Select any video file and press "Upload" to
send that video to your server (using entered FTP values)
- If uploading to VBrick MCS, use the "AutoingestXML"
folder and enter all MCS values. This will cause your video to appear in the
MCS video library (WM video only).
Registration
- The Screen Capture will operate for 30 days without
registration.
- Registration costs US $50
